You can be up "5 trillion percent", and then down “just" 100% and have NOTHING left. Point being, the power of downside must be respected. Many investors fall prey to believing they can time markets or that they found a special process or pattern that makes them invincible only to sadly be proven wrong. Markets represent the collective wisdom of people, and over time that collective wisdom will be greater than anything any one person possesses.
